Meet Our Senior Pastor, Lloyd W. Wilson
Lloyd W. Wilson is a Seventh-day Adventist pastor and evangelist. He has pastored within the Seventh-day Adventist church in Ontario since 1999. Before being asked to serve within Ontario, he attended Canadian Union College in Alberta, now called Canadian University College and then went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from Oakwood College, now Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama. He then went on to earn a Master of Divinity (M.Div) from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
Pastor Wilson’s devotion to the gospel ministry has led him to shepherd congregations such as the Mississauga, Ebenezer, East Toronto and Smyrna Seventh-day Adventist church and Liberty Group. In 2014, he graciously returned to the Mississauga Seventh-day Adventist church as the Senior Pastor, an appointment that carries that sentiment he describes as “coming home.”
His philosophy to “preach, using words only when necessary,” is one of practical ministry. As such, he has served as Treasurer of the Seminary Student forum at Andrews University, Social Director and Secretary of the Greater Toronto Area Ministerial Association in Ontario, and District Coordinator for the Metro East Region of churches. Currently, he serves as a member of the Ontario Conference Executive Committee.
Pastor Lloyd Wilson is married to the beautiful and former Natasha Gomes. They have been blessed with two beautiful children, Sydney Gabraelle (7 yrs.) and Isaac Xavier (3 yrs.). He is a husband, father, evangelist, preacher, teacher and motivational speaker. Most of all, he loves the Lord with all his heart and is immensely grateful to God for His amazing grace and mercy. His affirmation of faith in God is found in Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
