Elaine Thompson

Elder Elaine Thompson was born and raised in the parish of St. Mary, Jamaica, West Indies, where she was nurtured by her grandparents, having been born to teenage parents, Lorna and Colin. Her grandparents' impact was a meaningful and positive one. She is happily married to Patrick Thompson and is blessed to be mother to two daughters, Brittany and Roaine, and one son, Amari.
Elder Thompson is an accounting professional and an alumnus of the University of Technology (formerly College of Arts, Science and Technology), in Kingston, Jamaica.  She has obtained accounting designations under the United Kingdom system (ACCA, 2002), and the Canadian system (CGA, 2007). She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons., 2007) from Laurentian University.

Elder Thompson began her ministry in her teenage years in the Sabbath School and Advent Youth (AY) departments at the Bonny Gate SDA Church and later in the children's division of the Meadowvale Church in St Andrew. Her involvement in ministry continued up to, and following her migration to Canada in December 2002.  Since that time, she has served in various ministries at the Mississauga Seventh Day Adventist Church.

To Elder Thompson, it came as a shock but also an honour and privilege when she was chosen as one of the four women to speak in the Women’s Evangelistic series, held at the Mississauga SDA Church in 2006.  She testifies that, "The Lord continues to show me that He can use ‘anything’ even me. He continues to remove the rough edges and as I grow in my relationship with Him, I see there is so much more He can do with willing hands and more importantly, hearts willing to be changed".

She currently works in management at one of the Greater Toronto hospitals.
Elder Scott has been an elder in our church for the past six years. She has also served in various other ministries within the church.  She has a passion for serving Christ and seeing others accept Christ into their lives.

Delton Bailey

Elder Bailey is a devoted husband to Cheryl and a loving father to Chantelle (23 years), Alanna (20 years), and Nathan (16 years), and grandfather to Ashiyah. For the last 13 years he has been employed as a machinist.

Elder Bailey accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour at the age of 26, and has been committed to the Mississauga SDA church for the past 20 years. During that time he has contributed to the development of the church through prison ministries, literature evangelism, preaching, ushering, prayer ministries, personal bible studies, personal ministries, and as a deacon. Elder Bailey loves the Lord and is always eager to answer His call. He is honoured to have been given the privilege to share God’s words with you. It is his sincere prayer that you will be blessed by the messages that he has been called to deliver.
