Church History Highlights (1974-2024)

October 1973
Twenty-three (23) members start worshiping at Cawthra Secondary School.

November 1973
Mississauga Pathfinder club officially forms.

April 6, 1974
999 Lakeshore Road east, a former printing house, is purchased & renovated as the future home of Mississauga seventh-day Adventist church.

September 18, 1976
Official opening of the church at 999 Lakeshore Road East with 88 members.

1980
Membership increases to 237 members.

1985
Meadowvale Seventh-day Adventist, started by 3 founding Mississauga members, becomes a church.

1987
Membership increases to 344 members.

1988
999 Lakeshore Road East is sold and land is purchased at a new location for the growing membership.

April 1990
Church building fundraising campaign officially launches.

1990
Mississauga Jewels, Sanctuary Choir, and Firm Foundation choirs officially form.

November 11, 1995
First worship service held at 2250 Credit Valley Road.

March 30, 1996
Official grand opening at 2250 Credit Valley Road, the new home of Mississauga Seventh-day Adventist church. The image above is of the front cover of the bulletin.

May 29, 1999
The church celebrates its 25th anniversary.

2000
Ebenezer Seventh-day Adventist company is formed with support from Mississauga Seventh-day Adventist church.

November 13, 2004
The church celebrates its 30th anniversary.

2006
Gym and Fellowship Hall construction completed; Membership increases to 600 members.

2019
The church celebrates its 45th anniversary; membership increases to 860 members.

2023
Mortgage burning service held celebrating the paying off of the church’s mortgage.

2024
The church celebrates its 50th anniversary; glory be to God!
