Crying Out

When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me. Psalms 56:9

Have you ever cried out from pure frustration, pain or despair? Life can be so overwhelming sometimes that all we can do is scream. Many of us are taxed to the limit or well beyond. We are basically running on fumes and have very little of anything to spare. It often seems that lasting joy and contentment is the price we pay as we try to keep up with the demands of this world.

When the frustrating times come and every ball that we’re juggling starts to drop, when people are against us and there seems to be more bills than money and more things to do than time, we need to cry out to God.

The book of Psalms is full of verses that demonstrate how David constantly cried unto the Lord. At times, it gets so hard that all we can say is the name of Jesus. But He hears, He understands and He wants to comfort us. Even before you cry out He comes to our rescue. Just call on the name of Jesus, my friend. Cry out to Him in your time of trouble. Cry out to Him daily. God has already made haste to come to you and to lighten your burden.
